The Manchester Magic and Mystics Basketball Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Morris as the new Community Development Officer.
The Community Development Officer’s purpose is to provide and promote a broad range of high-quality basketball opportunities for the people of Manchester and, especially, to the communities surrounding the Manchester Basketball Centre. Adam’s background brings a wealth of experience in working with local schools and community coaching and engagement. Adam leaves his post with Oldham Active Coaching following a successful 7 years in his role to take on the challenge of growing our basketball offer both on and off site for children and young people. Adam is also one of our established National League
coaches so very much knows the values of our club.
Director of Basketball Pete Paraskeva said, “Really excited to have Adam as part of the team. The community arm is a vital element of our club and I have no doubt that, with Adam at the helm, the programme will go from strength to strength.”
Adam is excited about his challenge in his new role, “I’m really pleased to be appointed the Community Development Officer for the Club. I’m hoping my previous knowledge and experience will help guide me to push the Club to grow its community offer.”
